I built the HR product I wanted small teams to have.

I independently designed and built Johta, bringing employee records, schedules, projects, attendance and leave into a connected HR workspace. The product was later acquired by IETECH.ng.

Inside this case study
Starting without a client brief
I identified a gap in affordable HR tooling for small teams and started the product independently. There was no existing brief or delivery team: I defined the feature set and took the work from a blank page to a functioning build.
A connected HR workspace
Staff management and payroll formed the core of the product. The supplied screens show the wider workspace: employee records, schedules, projects, attendance and leave. A persistent navigation gives administrators a consistent way to move between these areas.
Daily operations before detailed records
The dashboard brings headcount, departments, attendance and leave together with schedules and an attendance table. Employee profiles then collect personal and employment details beside attendance history, keeping the daily overview separate from a single employee’s record.
Quick creation with room for detail
Project creation has a short form for the name, manager, dates and team, followed by an advanced route with a project code, client or department, priority, status, description and links to tools. The schedule form combines employee, time, date, department and work mode before publishing.
Reviewing projects and leave
Project screens include summary counts, search, multiple views, project details and editing. Attendance and leave pages make request status visible alongside the employee record. The portfolio demo lets visitors try the supplied flows using sample data.
Outcome
The application was acquired by IETECH.ng, as documented in my published project account. The interactive version on this portfolio is a demonstration of selected screens; it does not connect to company HR records.
